Sam Aubuchon

Originally from KCMO, Samuel Vincent Aubuchon is a devoted musician, singer/songwriter, and actor. A former Mastermind himself, he is thrilled to join the family of MMVS coaches.

With a diverse musical background, SVA has performed in a wide variety of esteemed venues across the country, including the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and Starlight Theatre in KCMO, the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, the renowned Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre in NYC to name a few. SVA has appeared onstage in concert settings with Phillipa Soo and Stephanie J. Block, and performed backup for Casi Joy of NBC’s ‘the Voice.’

SVA’s work stretches across multiple planes of the arts industry. As a theatre artist, Samuel has curated an extensive resume of regional work in the KC Metro. He has also worked as an instrumentalist and voice over artist for several groups within the marching arts, most recently lending vocals to the 2020 United Percussion production, “Searching…”

In January 2020, SVA began a solo recording project with the release of his EP, [Rewritten], and continues to produce and release his original music. The Q Review describes Samuel as a “talented modern day balladeer” with an “old world association with his voice, matched alongside a modern day sensibility and approach to music” (www.qreview.ca).

SVA is committed to inspiring young artists to create in their day to day. Following the cancellation of the 2020 Jimmy Awards, Samuel conceived and hosted the nationwide Living Room Songwriter’s Competition in order to spark creativity in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. Samuel worked closely with industry professionals Anson Seabra, Natalie Weiss, and Andrew Barth Feldman to bring the performing arts a bit closer to home, and inspire young artists to find a musical outlet during quarantine.
