Marianna Vagnini

Vocal Coach, Conductor and Choral Director Marianna Vagnini has been working as a vocal coach for over 30 years. Many of Marianna’s students have attended and graduated from a variety of music schools including Juilliard, Manhattan College, Berklee School of Music, Yale University, NYU Tisch, SUNY Purchase, Marymount Manhattan, and many more. Some of her students have gone on to perform on Broadway and opera houses throughout the United States.  One of her former students is Melissa Mulligan, owner of MMVS and the Music Career Mastermind!

In addition to her work as a vocal coach, Marianna also has worked as a choral director at a variety of institutions including Holy Cross High School, The Mead School, The Institute for Musical Arts, Chase Collegiate School, Naugatuck Valley Community College, and Waterbury Arts Magnet School. Marianna has given a variety of Master Classes in the New York and Connecticut, including the English- Darling Vocal Fellowship at the Bushnell Theatre in Harford, while also traveling the world to places like Greece, Italy, Russia, Spain, France, Virgin Islands, and Germany to perform.

From a young age Marianna studied voice and knew she ultimately needed to share her passion with the world. Marianna takes all of the knowledge she gained from her tremendous coaches in the Broadway and opera world, including the great Betti McDonald as well as the Institute for Musical Arts Inc, and loves to give the knowledge back to her students.

Marianna has won a variety of awards for her singing and is also a loyal member of Professional Women Singers Association, National Association for Teachers of Singing, and National Association for Music Education/CT Music Educators Association. Marianna taches all of her students, ages 9- 96, in a way that is specifically designed for their individual needs. Marianna believes that all of her students should have the opportunity to sing authentically and freely and powerfully represent themselves in the world.
